People power

Unfortunately SagePay is suffering problems at the moment, we have been using them as our PSP for a year or so now and they were really good in helping us setup our service, working with the application programmers to get a link sorted out – and if I’m honest we’ve always had good support in the rare cases it’s been needed, and receive plenty of information via email when there is a problem.

Of course I’ve blogged before about public perception and the power of the internet (especially social media) and here’s another example;

The story is being carried by The Register among others – notice how the disgruntled users of the service have setup a Facebook page and are talking about mutiny?

Proof, if proof be needed that you will live or die by the care you take of your customers, know a few more places that need to remember that too…..

In an unfortunate update to this Sagepay have since released a statement on their site, and due to some clever/unfortunate forum jiggery-pokery have inadvertently given the impression that customers will be compensated!
